In-Clinc and Telehealth Visits During Covid-19

First and foremost, we would like to thank the entire Milton Chiropractic Patient Community for all the love and support, and concern, we have received during these uncertain times.  Please know that despite the current Covid-19 pandemic, we are here for you.

We wanted to provide you an update on our chiropractic operations during this difficult time. We have been working diligently to ensure that we can continue to care for our patients in need of chiropractic care, while also implementing policies and procedures to keep you and our team members safe.

Why stay open? 
Chiropractic plays a critical role in reducing stress on other areas of the health care system. Our healthcare colleagues in primary care and emergency room settings will be challenged during the time ahead, and chiropractors have the vital responsibility of managing musculoskeletal symptoms, improving your health, and keeping you away from where sick people need to be.  We are essential health care under the guidelines and policies of the federal and state government.

Are you accepting new patients? 
Yes! We understand that pain and injuries don't disappear just because of COVID-19.

What does a "Stay at Home Advisory" mean for Milton Chiropractic Patients?

As an essential service, chiropractic is explicitly excluded from shelter in place or stay at home requirements. Chiropractors are considered Physicians at the Federal and State level and chiropractic has a critical role in keeping people with urgent musculoskeletal pain out of places sick people need to go, a role that is viewed as a part of the essential infrastructure.  Milton Chiropractic is committed to providing care to our patients during this challenging time and you are permitted to receive treatment in the clinic and through telehealth.

As of Monday March 23rd, 2020, Milton Chiropractic will be offering 2 Different Treatment Options that we are proud to be offering to you.  Your participation in one, or even both, of these options allows us to continue to help you, a privilege we place tremendous value on and do not take for granted.

IN-Clinic Care


We are considered essential healthcare by our Governor.  Our doors will remain open for traditional chiropractic care for existing and new patients.  We are keeping 12 of our clinics open for new patient exams, re-evaluations and care for active or acute plan of care treatments.  It is our duty to not only serve our patients in need, but to help alleviate the Urgent Care and Primary Care offices by handling their musculoskeletal pain patients.

We will continue to follow and even exceed all the CDC guidelines regarding:

  • Sanitizing treatment and non-treatment spaces within our clinics

  • Practicing critical provider and staff hygiene

  • Social distancing to include increased spacing of appointments and less staff

  • Mandatory screening of patients via phone and in-clinic
                   

Telehealth (New)

In an effort to continue providing our patients with the best possible care in uncertain times, Milton Chiropractic is excited to be launching a brand-new video/tele health option for care.

How does this work? How can I be adjusted through my iPhone?  We get it, seems impossible.

Well it is impossible!  But although the chiropractic adjustment is the most important part of your chiropractic visit, Chiropractors at Milton Chiropractic are highly skilled and trained in evaluation and diagnosis, strength and stability exercise protocols and ergonomic education.  All of these can be performed via telehealth.  And all these skills can help you recover or maintain your progress, even if you can’t make it in the clinic for that important chiropractic adjustment.

  • 30 minutes sessions with your Chiropractor

  • ZERO co-pay with FULL coverage by your insurance company where applicable (deductible and co-insurance may still apply)

    • Yes, you read that correctly, you pay nothing even if you have a co-pay, and thankfully we may get reimbursed by your insurance.

    • If your plan does not cover telehealth, we want to speak with you anyway.  It is our promise to you that we get you better

    • Full video conferencing from your smartphone or computer, if it has a camera, microphone and speakers (usually all built-in)

    • We will be using a site called www.doxy.me.  No app required and works in most browsers.  Safari on iPhone, Google Chrome on Computer, etc.

How Telehealth Will Work:

  • Call the office and schedule your appointment(s) as you normally would

  • You will be put on the schedule and receive your normal text/email confirmation

  • Prior to your appointment time, you’ll receive a link via email from your Chiropractor at Milton Chiropractic.  The link in that email will look like this: doxy.me/drdavidsmithmcr

  • Simply click the link, wait for the page to load, add your name, and click “check in”.  Your Chiropractor will connect with you and the visit starts

  • During, after or before your visit, you may receive Exercises via email from HEP2GO.

  • During your 30-minute session you’ll have the opportunity to review your past appointments, progress made, changes in symptoms/presentation, review rehab exercises, learn new exercises and make a plan with your provider moving forward.

Unfortunately, insurance companies may be only required to cover 1 appointment per 7-day period, but you will be able to continue following up weekly via Telehealth. Again, our clinic will remain open until further notice so you can be seen there as well, if it is deemed necessary to do so.

Note: This type of coverage has been put into place by Governor Baker just during this state of emergency and will likely not be offered once the emergency has been lifted.  It is also possible some insurers may allow a second visit in a week if deemed medically necessary. We are constantly monitoring this situation.
